I am hoping to network widely to find a safe foster, foster-to-adopt, or no-kill placement for a very sweet cat. He was rescued a few years ago and placed him in a great home with a former adopter. She also took in a 5 year old rescued cat that has a serious heart condition. I will be taking into my home the now 11 yr old cat with the serious heart condition. I am not also able to take in Eli Noah as I have several elderly rescues, and recently took in a pair of 12 yro rescues from a woman who went into foreclosure. I simply do not have enough resources or space to take this great cat in. He's young (around 6 yro) and healthy, so he has the better chance at placement than the 11 yr old heart patient kitty, or the two 12 yro cats.
Eli Noah is a sweet cat. He was rescued close to death from dehydration and starvation a few years ago and has flourished in his adoptive home. Sadly, his current human is moving abroad and not able to take him with her. Thus, we are networking to try to safely re-home this sweet boy.
He is affectionate and not shy at all with his human. He may need a little time to adjust to a new home, but once he knows he's safe, he’ll be yours for life. He loves to sit next to his human/s and will always sleep on the bed with you. He never gets underfoot and is very gentle. He never goes near the door and does not try to get out; he has no interest in being outside, which is best for his overall health and lifespan. He does prefer to hide under the bed when visitors arrive, but he’ll venture back out when all is quiet again.
He gets along fine with easy-going cats. He would likely do fine with a gentle, older dog, but may not be as comfortable with a highly active dog.
The ideal home environment for sweet Eli Noah would be in a relatively quiet one. He would be fine as an only cat.
An interesting fact about Eli Noah is that he is a Hemingway Polydactyl – he has an extra toe on each back paw, as well as just 4 toes on each front paw. He has very unique kitty toes!
