We wanted to let all of our wonderful supporters know that we will be taking a one-year hiatus from the Baypath Paws & Claws 5K Run/Walk. Our race director welcomed the duo pictured below and was unable to take on race planning.
Don’t worry, our popular race will return in 2013 bigger and better. Until then, we have the following five opportunities this fall for you to show your support for Baypath’s important no-kill rescue mission.
1. 50:50 Raffle! With only 2,000 tickets available, you have stellar odds of winning as much as $25,000! Our lucky winner’s name will be drawn on October 31 at noon (don’t have to be present to win). Tickets are $25 each and available at the shelter or online. Ready to strike it rich while helping out animals in need?
2. Fall Yard Sale! We’ve outgrown the shelter parking lot so our annual yard sale will be hosted at nearby St. Mark’s School in Southborough. Join us Sunday, September 30 to wheel and deal on hundreds of valuable goods, with all proceeds benefitting Baypath. We are excited and grateful to work with SMS students, whose collective efforts will help us to make this popular event spectacular! More details to come, including items we are and are not accepting, drop-off times and locations, and exact yard sale hours. All information will be posted on our Facebook page and our Web site.
3. Baypath Photo Calendar Contest! Already thinking of a perfect Christmas present for your loved ones? Baypath will soon launch our annual photo calendar contest, which could make your pet a star throughout ALL of 2013! Each month will feature one of our top 12 vote-getters so make sure to enlist your friends and family to vote for your favorite four-footed. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Web site for soon-to-be-released details on how to participate in this fabulous contest.
4. Pet Rock Festival! Baypath is excited to join other animal-focused organizations at the popular Pet Rock Festival on Sept. 9 at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Email sandy@baypathhumane.org for a $2 off admission coupon and make sure to stop by our booth to the left of the entrance.
5. Woofstock! We’re also taking part in Buddy Dog Humane Society’s Woofstock, a fun event for animal lovers and families, on Oct. 13 at the Hudson Elks. Please make sure to stop by our booth with your Baypath alumni.
Although we know you’ll miss the Paws & Claws 5K Run/Walk this year, we hope you’ll still support the important work we do at Baypath through one of these other fun fall activities or by making a general donation online.
