I am pleased to introduce this 2 year old buff colored boy named Paulie!
Paulie is in need of a forever home. He is gentle and loves people and will talk up a blue streak.
He is considered a special needs cat because he suffers from a seizure disorder.
This sweet cat was rescued from a local strip mall and was being fed by caring people there. Friends of Carver Animals (FOCA) got the call to rescue him just before cold weather set in. He is such a nice cat and the people did not want him left out in the cold. He did initially take refuge in a garage where he was not welcome and was not treated well there. It was important to remove him for his safety.
Paulie is currently successfully treated and easily managed with a daily dose of phenobarbital that is given 1/2 dose AM 1/2 dose PM in his food. His meds cost less than $6.00 a month. He enjoys his food so there is no problem giving his 1/2 pill.
Because of Paulie's disorder he should be the only cat in the household. Because he may have an occasional seizure, if the other cats see it happening, they may attack him. He enjoys the company of other cats, however because he is different and the other cats sense it, he is not readily accepted by them. The cats he lives with will go into “his” room and visit with him, but they will not allow him to come out into their territory. Paulie should be able to roam freely throughout the house!
