Dont' let Kitten season be killing season

Kittens’ lives are at risk and they need your immediate help.

Springtime is “kitten season”—which means during the next few months, millions of kittens will be born. Well-meaning people will bring them to shelters, wanting to help. But they don’t realize that many shelters don’t have the lifesaving programs in place to care for these kittens. And as you know, over 70% of all cats in shelters will be killed.

Alley Cat Allies is working to transform shelters and end the senseless killing of kittens, but we need your help. Make an urgent donation to Alley Cat Allies right away to keep “kitten season” from becoming “killing season.”

We need to raise $139,135 before April 20 to be in the best position possible to save kittens’ and cats' lives.

You see, litters upon litters of kittens are brought into shelters every day during kitten season. And without staff or foster homes to provide the round-the-clock care that neonatal kittens need, in many shelters, these kittens are killed.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Alley Cat Allies is educating people around the country on what to do when they find kittens and helping shelters implement proven programs for saving kittens’ lives.

Make an emergency contribution right away so tiny kittens—often smaller than the palm of your hand—aren’t killed in shelters.
