Patty Powell
Owner operator of Paws pet-sitting service.
My love for animals and background in Hospitality and business management provided me with the the experience to open one of Metrowest’s first pet sitting services in 1990. Paws currently employs a dedicated staff of 25 sitters. I attribute our success to our staff of pet sitters who continually work hard and truly love their jobs.
In the Fall of 2006 Kathy Sawyer took over the management of our company. I currently work remotely from Vermont to help manage and promote the company.
I own one cat and enjoy overnight house and pet sitting.
I am continually grateful to enjoy a very rewarding profession!
Kathy Sawyer
Manager of Paws pet-sitting service. I have worked for Paws since 1993 when Patty hired me after I had used Paws to walk my very active Golden Retriever while I recovered from foot surgery. At first I was employed part time but left my nursing career in 2000 to work full time and now manage Paws along with pet sitting in the Northborough, Westborough and Southborough areas. My past nursing experience has been helpful with pets needing medications, insulin and fluids. Also I am certified in Dog and Cat First Aid by the Red Cross. I have owned dogs over 35 years, presently Golden Retrievers Delia and Tessa. I enjoy training them and competing in Obedience and Agility. My girls are also Therapy dogs. When not involved in all my dog activities I am an avid quilter and enjoy making a line of doggie themed tote bags under the label “ The Sew Nutty Stitcher”!

Bev Schairer
My career in Pet sitting began after having a wonderful experience having PAWS take care of my two dogs, two cats, lots of fish and a turtle when we first moved to MA.
Over the years I have taken the American Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid Class and have taken my dogs through beginner obedience classes. I am also a substitute teacher for a private child care center and I have 3 grown children. Nothing better than playing with children and pets for a career!
Barbara Brais
I have been with PAWS since 1998 and have enjoyed every day of it. Though I did not get my first dog until I was an adult, I have loved animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember. All of our animals have been rescues, including my daughter’s rabbits and rats, all long gone now. Our dogs have all been American Eskimos or Eskie crosses, and my current buddy and fourth dog, Fella, is 14 now. We are both slowing down a bit, but greatly enjoy our time together. I have taken care of many kinds of animals and birds since getting together with PAWS, including reptiles and rodents, and find them all equally interesting, though currently I mostly care for cats. And after so long, I have made many friends, human as well as animal, which has brought me much pleasure.
There is not another job in the world where you get such a wonderful welcome just by coming in the door!

Pam Hawkins
Pam offers in her home boarding as well as pet sitting in your home
Hi! My name is Pam Hawkins and I am one of the newest members of the PAWS family. I am recently retired from state service and so excited to finally be able to realize my dream of working with animals!!
I have been a cat mom since I was 7 years old but right now I am currently a dog mom, I started with 3 oversized male papillons, one of became my champion agility dog and titled in Rally Obedience. I now have 2 female standard sized papillons, both of whom are and will be competing in multiple performance sports.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working for PAWS and our wonderful clients. I treat your furkid as my own and take pride in making sure they get lots of love and attention.
Besides doing vacation and daily visits, I also offer pet sitting in my North Worcester home. Although it is a small house, it is set up perfectly to accommodate 1 or 2 guest dogs at a time. I have a fenced in yard, divided into a potty area and a larger area to run in. I will accept toy breeds under 20 lbs, neutered/spayed and they MUST be crate trained and able to be left in the crate for a few hours at a time while I work at my other PT job. Dogs must be non reactive and get along well with the house dogs. A meet and greet will be mandatory (no charge to you). Senior dogs, incontinent dogs are welcome and meds can be given.
If you have a cat or dog in the Worcester, Holden, West Boylston, Boylston or Shrewsbury area that needs personal attention while you are at work or on vacation, please contact PAWS and ask for me!

Anne M. Di Resta
Cat Sitter & Dog Walker
Hi there, I’m Anne! I’ve been with PAWS now for just over 2 and 1/2 years! I’ve been working with various animals for over 6 years! I grew up with my sister’s pet bunny and my passion for animals grew from there! I’m retired from the military and ventured into pet care work! I have my own pet as well; a cat named Octavia and she is my pride and joy! I’m happy to be apart of taking care of your furry family!
Eloise Saia
Hi! I’m Eloise and I’ve been with PAWS since December of 2022. I’m a retired dietitian and diabetes educator, now working as a church secretary. When I’m not working or cat sitting, I enjoy baking and taking long walks.
After the loss of my sweet 15 year old cat, Callie, I had a strong desire to spend time with more cats, in addition to our crazy 12 year old rescue feline boy, Spanky! This led me to join PAWS and to volunteer for 6 months at Baypath Humane Society, where I helped to socialize cats.
It was there that I would meet two adorable cats, Otto & Lucy, who would end up becoming my daughter’s cats just one week later! My husband & I also have another sweet grand-kitty in TN, Nallo, who is our son’s rescue cat. (Fun Fact: Chattanooga, TN is home to one of the largest cat cafes in the world…and it is AWESOME!!!) There isn’t a day that goes by that my husband or I, or one of our children doesn’t send an adorable picture of one of our cats so that we can all laugh and enjoy the cuteness!
I really enjoy spending time with all of my furry clients, caring for their daily needs and playing with them. I also enjoy sending you daily pictures/videos so that you can see how great your cat is doing! It truly brings me joy to spend time with these adorable creatures. The laughter they provide makes a great start or end to my day! 🙂
I welcome the opportunity to care for your cat(s) so that you can have peace of mind while you are away from them. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Susan Ainsleigh
Hello – I’m Susan and love working for PAWS! I walk and care for pets (dogs and cats) – including mid day walks and overnight vacation pet care. I’ve had pets since childhood, and PAWS pet sitters walked and cared for my many dogs over the past few decades. My pups have always loved their walking compansions, so I most enjoy providing pet care for others in return! Currently I am a dachshund owner, and have two pups named Freddie & Jules (Freddie, after the rock star Freddie Mercury and Jules, after the Beatles song ‘Hey Jude’). I love hiking, traveling, reading, great movies and music!
